I am here for the Pine Honey Congress in Mugla, Turkey. Arrived in Marmaris last night from Istanbul, waking up to a view of where the Aegean meets the Mediterranean right across the famed island of Rhodes. The Congress is outside of Marmaris and supposed to be made up of both beekeepers and scientists. Beekeeping is a big deal here it seems.
Check out the new book on superorganisms. This is a hot topic these days it seems. I wrote a report in Bee Culture on the book by Jurgen Tautz about the same topic.
