Day 1 - Melbourne to Adelaide via airplane. Travel by bus to Tintinara area and see a major beekeeping operation (mobile) focusing on Hunter River Lucerne seed production. View the mallee and blue gum forests, including the unique Coorong wetlands of Murray River estuary. Visit an apiarist using the barrier system near Cooke Plains. Stay night at Murray Bridge Motor Inn.
Day 2 - Murray Bridge to Kingscote: Depart by bus across the scenic Fleurieu Peninsula (timing coincides with the 2007 South Australian Writers Festival) to Cape Jervis; Ferry across to Kangaroo Island; visit ligurian bees at Bellevista bees, topped off by visit to seal bay; stay night in Ozone Seafront Hotel.
